Chaplain

Mr Frank Jetmar

Hi, my name is Frank & I’m the Chaplain to Berwick College. I’ve been married for over 25 years and I have four great boys ranging in age from 17 to 23. Prior to coming to Berwick College I worked with teenagers in the Welfare sector as a Residential Care Worker with Berry Street Victoria and Wesley Youth Services.

The work I did with teenagers entailed dealing with many issues, including; addictions, criminal activity, self harm, mental health, the search for meaning & belonging etc. I have also worked with the CREATE Foundation, which runs child advocacy programs and is affiliated with The Office of the Child Safety Commissioner.

One of my main roles is to provide Pastoral Care, which seeks to address a person’s present needs while being respectful of their unique circumstances. I am here for the whole school community, students, parents & staff. As a Chaplain it is not my role to judge anybody. My aim is to instill a sense of purpose in a young person’s life, to help them believe they are of great worth, to bring hope and to help them reach their full potential!
