VET – Vocational Education and Training

Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs require an application form to be filled out and often an interview to assess suitability.

Contribution to ATAR score

  • Some programs are able to be counted in the best first four subjects calculation of the ATAR.
  • Some programs contribute 10% of the additional 5 or 6 subject calculation of the ATAR.
  • Some programs contribute nothing to the ATAR.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to check this information. This information is available from the Careers Centre in the Senior School, or from the VCAA website.
  • There are many programs available.
