State Finalists – 2016 Victorian Education Excellence Awards

The prestigious 2016 Victorian Education Excellence Awards celebrate the life changing work of education professionals in government schools.

The College was honoured to be nominated as finalists in two categories, judged by a panel of 20 world renowned educational leaders.

Team Award Finalist – Outstanding Koorie Education Award

Koorie Education Program: Our Koorie Education program is gathering momentum as indigenous students are supported through career action plans, inclusive culture and experiential learning opportunities, providing a positive and supported learning journey.

Team Award Finalist – Outstanding Educational Support Team

Wellbeing Team: Our highly regarded team; Social Workers, Chaplain and College Nurse  were acknowledged for the support they give to students who experience learning barriers related to disability, mental health, domestic and social issues and for their delivery of programs that improve student wellbeing. The Wellbeing Team through collaboration with local community networks, share their excellence in practice and strategies to build and strengthen support staff in schools throughout the southern region.

Ms Bolch was delighted that staff were acknowledged for their dedication and commitment to ensuring our students have the support they need to achieve the best possible learning outcomes.
